Focus Timer

Short sessions. Deep focus. Real results.

A Pomodoro-style timer that structures your revision into focused blocks. Flip your phone to landscape for a full-screen countdown that fills the whole display — hard to ignore.

Built around how memory actually works

The research is consistent: short, focused study sessions produce better retention than long, unfocused ones. Kraemon's session timer is set to around 20–40 minutes — long enough to make meaningful progress through several topics, short enough to maintain concentration.

Each session moves through a defined sequence: preparation, then revision focus, then a break. The app tracks exactly how long you spend in each phase.

  • Structured prep → focus → break cycle
  • Haptic feedback at each phase transition
  • Can adjust session length in settings
  • Homework / free-study mode for non-Kraemon work

Landscape mode: full-screen focus

Flip your phone to landscape during a focus session and the timer expands to fill the entire screen — a bold yellow countdown on a dark background. There's nothing else to look at.

This makes it much harder to drift to other apps. The clock is impossible to ignore. When the session ends, rotating back to portrait resumes the normal review flow automatically.

Track your focus time

The focus stats screen shows your daily and weekly revision minutes — a running record of actual focused time, not just sessions opened. You can see at a glance whether you're hitting your daily goal.

Set a daily minute target in settings. The dashboard shows your progress toward it each day, and weekly summaries help you spot patterns over time.

  • Daily goal set in settings (default: 40 min)
  • Weekly bar chart of focus minutes
  • Separate tracking for free study / homework
  • All data stored privately on your device

Structure your revision. Hit your goals.
